Going back to the posts about fakeouts and teases awhile back. Today in history 1990 in England features a major one. The boys are more than into Standing On the moon when all of a sudden Jer pulls the ripcord and opts for wharf rat. Good show to boot, if you don't mind Jer's sick voice.

Garcia's voiced is shot to hell this tour...most of the shows from Europe '90 are languid compared to what was before and after this tour...

wished he would of pulled the rip cord on that song for good like he did on Believe it or Not

Just my opinion, that tune was always a major buzzkill for me

SOTM. I'm in the minority it seems but I never dug that tune. Wharf Rat is a masterpeice. It may have went downhill in later years but still a great tune.

Well as usual I only agree partially only to disagree and would counter that the 2 songs that are currently being bashed were songs that I thought were essentially excellent songs that in the case of Believe it or Not never saw the light of day as far as development and in the case of SOTM it was the neglected child genius that everyone just assumed would be great but never nurtured. I for one witnessed the birth of both these songs and in both cases it was an extreamly powerful experience. Jerry literally laid his soul out for the world to see on both of these and in the case of Believe it or not I think it was to raw even for Jerry and most of the crowd to handle, to bad cause thats where the best stuff often comes from given a chance. Ok I'm done ranting for now and hope this came across the right way. Cheers
